TORONTO, ONTARIO, August 2021: Through months of customer consultation and testing, Ecolo developed XStreme® 8420 Clean and Pure – a solution specifically designed to combat odors from cannabis growing operations.

Each raw ingredient was carefully tested for its efficacy against cannabis odors and only the most effective ingredients were included in the final formulation. Third party laboratory tests of XStreme 8420 were conducted, using cannabis odor samples derived directly from cannabis flowers, without dilution. The sample used closely mimics what is found in commercial cannabis greenhouses during the late vegetation/harvest stage of the cannabis growth cycle, the point of highest odor intensity. The results show that XStreme 8420 is 100% effective at removing cannabis odor from air, surpassing initial expectations. “This is a historic milestone for Ecolo!” says President and CEO Shan Tao. “Not only is this solution more effective than originally anticipated, it is also extremely safe and cost-effective – the perfect solution for cannabis greenhouse operations.”

XStreme 8420 Clean and Pure is a ready-to-use (no pre-dilution required) concentrated waterless liquid, to provide cannabis odor relief year-round, in temperatures as low as -34oC/-29.56oF. The proprietary formulation contains a blend of essential oils and naturally-sourced, biodegradable surfactants, safe for use around humans and animals, and easily rinsed away from surfaces with water. Designed to specifically target terpenes such as myrcene, caryophyllene and terpinolene, the aromatic components of the cannabis plant, XStreme 8420 works through the process of odor counteraction to eliminate malodors. Made without the use of harsh chemicals, and with a low freezing and high flash point, XStreme 8420 is classified as non-dangerous goods, and is safe and easy to handle and transport. While designed specifically for cannabis greenhouses, XStreme 8420 contains some of the same active ingredients found in other Ecolo solutions, and can also perform well against common solid waste malodors.
